A Wedding Between Sardinia, France and England: Bianca and Maxime
Couple:
Bianca & Maxime
Date:
30 may 2025
Location
Hotel Resort Ollastu - Costa Corallina
This was a wedding that felt both deeply rooted and beautifully international. Maxime is French — elegant, kind, and full of energy. Bianca is from Sardinia, with her heart and roots firmly tied to this island. She is calm, deeply sensitive, and carries the kind of quiet presence that perfectly balances his vibrant spirit. They live and work in England, but when it came time to decide where to celebrate their wedding, the answer came naturally: Sardinia. Not only because of tradition, but because of a genuine love for this land.
They are an incredibly young, joyful couple, always smiling, with the kind of enthusiasm you can instantly feel when they walk into a room. Bianca is wonderfully sweet, with eyes that speak before words ever could. Maxime looks at her with a mix of tenderness and admiration that is impossible not to notice.
Planning their wedding was not simply about designing an event — it was about finding the perfect way to bring together three countries into one unforgettable day. Before discovering the right venue, we visited several locations together — some breathtaking, others less suited to what they envisioned. When you live abroad and plan a destination wedding in Sardinia, every choice has to feel absolutely right. And they wanted to be certain.
Then we arrived at Hotel Resort Olastu, in Costa Corallina, and everything suddenly became clear: the sea stretching out in front of us, the open view over Tavolara Island, and the golden sunset light embracing every corner of the landscape. It was unmistakably their place.
On May 30th, 2025, they exchanged vows in the church of Porto San Paolo — a heartfelt, intimate, and deeply emotional ceremony. Families had travelled from different countries, speaking different languages, yet sharing the very same emotion in their eyes. Watching different cultures come together beneath the Sardinian sky was truly beautiful.
At Olastu, every detail spoke softly of Sardinia. Warm tones, delicate florals, refined styling that never felt excessive. The stationery featured soft floral accents, while the atmosphere remained relaxed, elegant, and effortlessly light — perfectly reflecting who they are.
Their entrance into the reception was filled with pure excitement. Friends were waiting for them, eager to celebrate and raise a glass together. It was one of those weddings that feels truly alive: the kind where people dance wholeheartedly, laugh loudly, and never want the night to end.
One of the moments I will remember most was sunset. The sea in front of us, the warm golden light, the feeling o
f freedom in the air, little girls running barefoot across the grass, guests dancing, music floating through the evening… everything felt perfect. Sardinia became the backdrop to a love story that began elsewhere, but was chosen here to become a promise forever.
A moment that captured their spirit perfectly: spontaneous, joyful, and real.
THE DETAILS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME
To stay connected to Sardinian tradition, we chose to offer our guests a small cadeau — nothing excessive, just something that could truly speak of our land. Each couple received a miniature bottle of traditional Sardinian liqueur: red myrtle, white myrtle, and pompia liqueur. A simple gesture, yet one filled with meaning. It was deeply appreciated by everyone, especially the guests who had travelled from England and France. Taking home a small piece of Sardinia became an authentic memory of their journey.
AND WHEN THE SUN WENT DOWN…
You might think the story ends here — but after sunset, as the air grew cooler and the dance floor filled up, the venue revealed a series of small corners dedicated to local tradition. Freshly made seadas arrived: the iconic Sardinian pastry, fried and drizzled with warm honey. The aroma was unforgettable, and the taste even more so. Then came the traditional roasted porcetto sardo, served while the DJ kept everyone dancing late into the night. It was an incredible success — the guests were thrilled. They laughed, toasted, and tasted everything with curiosity and delight. The dance floor was never empty. It was a wedding full of life, energy, embraces, and people who simply did not want the night to end. A truly unforgettable celebration.
And what can I say? I hope to tell many more stories like this.
And who knows… perhaps the next one will be yours.
